Bryant Acres
Ann Early spent decades traveling to Tennessee and researching her family’s history. Her great-grandfather, generations removed, was a man named Sherrod Bryant. He was a free man of color in the antebellum South during the time of slavery. Bryant sold himself into indentured servitude and went on to become one of the wealthiest landowners in the South.
When Ann was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, she asked her son Quinn to have her book published, and that’s exactly what he did. Unfortunately, Ann passed away before she had the opportunity to see her vision become a reality. Not only did Quinn publish her book about Bryant, but her second book about the next generations of the Bryant family as well.
